Here’s a video of an Apple Watch being submerged in liquid nitrogen, then getting smacked with a sledgehammer. So if you ever wondered if a super cold Apple Watch can survive a blow from a sledgehammer, the answer is no. Of course, if you’re getting beat in the arm with a sledgehammer, you’ve probably got bigger problems to worry about than your watch. Namely, somebody is trying to kill you. Also, I’m fairly certain even a room temperature Apple Watch wouldn’t survive a blow from a sledgehammer, so the liquid nitrogen was really just overkill.
