A Marathon Weekend
Another weekend in the books, as I headed down to Marathon, FL to hang with the family. I believe this was my third trip down in about 6 weeks. I have been putting together a video studio for my brother to do his live online training for his business. It has turned out awesome. Four TV’s, three computers, an Epiphan Pearl 2, mics, lights, green screen amongst some other coolness. Once the finishing touches were put on it Saturday morning, we did an interview with my parents.
Most of you have never met them, but those that have know what fucking cool people they are. Back in 97 I interviewed my grandparents about their life and how they managed over 60 years of marriage, and honestly it was one of the best things we did as a family. To have that footage of them now that they have passed it’s always there to go back and watch. So the more I thought about it over the last year or so I wanted to do the same thing with my parents. There was a lot I didn’t know about them and even just a couple days later to look back and think about it.. I am happy we did it.
We not only learned about their childhood, jobs, family life, etc, but it gave me an even better appreciation of them as two people that have been together over 50 years. An amazing experience to have for the archives. I highly encourage anyone to do this. No matter your relationship. Good or bad. Cool or not, I promise you will be happy you did it.
I have even been doing it for a couple of others and I would be more than happy to help anyone out and get one done for their family and friends. I even give a family and friends discount.
I can’t wait to finish the video and get some clips out for my friends to enjoy.
